PURPOSE:For efficient quality reforming, molten converter slag is added with molten blast furnace slag, and particulated by jetting with high speed air blow. CONSTITUTION:Molten converter slag contained in ladle 2 is added with molten blast furnace slag in amount of at least 5 wt% to the whole quantity. The mixed slag is transferred from the ladle 2 to the tundish 3, then flowed from the spout 4. High speed air flow is injected from the nozzle 8 by the blower 5 installed near the spout 4 so that the slag is blown into the slag hood 6. Particulated slag is stored in the pit 7. In this process, blast furnace slag is required only in small quantity, so that the slag transfer and mixing is simplified, enabling online operation. |
