摘要 PURPOSE:To keep a constant frequency for the gas cell type atomic oscillator by controlling the temperature so that the difference of the resonance frequency may be zero between the gas cell of a small temperature coefficient used for the crystal oscillator control purpose and the gas cell of a large temperature coefficient used for the temperature fluctuation detection purpose. CONSTITUTION:Two openings are provided at the symmetrical position to each arm of cavity resonator 5 containing two pieces of arms branched into a U-shape and extending from the input terminal, and gas cell 6 and 7 enclosing the vapor of the atom for frequency standard are installed at the opening areas. When input microwave frequency fR becomes in agreement with resonance frequency fR1 of gas cell 6, the resonance occurs. And thus the resonance signal controls crystal oscillator 1. While temperature frequency fR1 of resonance frequency fR2 of gas cell 7 is set about 100 times as much as temperature frequency fR1, and fR1 does not become in agreement with fR2 with fluctuation of the temperature of cell 6 and 7. As a result, temperature controller 14 is actuated to give an automatic return to the original set temperature.
