PURPOSE:To reduce the depth of a room unit main body thereby thinning it and to improve blowing efficiency by a method wherein a blower and a heat exchanger are arranged in the main body in such a manner that they face a suction port and a blow-off port respectively. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner room unit main body 11 is of thin box-shaped structure, and a suction port 12 fitted with a filter 12a and a blow-off port 13 fitted with louvers 13a are provided respectively at the upper portion and the lower potion of the front face of the main body 11. In this main body 11 are placed a blower 16, comprising a crossflow fan 16a, and a heat exchanger 17, between which is interposed a horizontal portion 18a of a partition plate 18 made of insulating material and having an L-shaped cross section. A vertical portion 18b of the plate 18 is interposed between the suction port 12 and the heat exchanger 17. Thus an air passage S is formed via the suction port 12, blower 16, heat exchange 17, and blow-off port 13. |
