<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the steel discharging time, to prevent temperature decrease in hot steel, and thereby to enhance the productivity by a method wherein a hood is installed in a container having a lower inlet, and the container is removed from the hood immediately after refining, and hot steel in the container is directly cast at the casting position. CONSTITUTION:Scrap 3 and hot metal 4 are charged as a refining agent in a container 2 having an inlet 1 at the bottom, then a hood 5 is installed on the container 2. Then, refining is performed by blowing O2 from a lance 6 installed above material in the container 2. Next, the container 2 is removed from the hood 5 and moved to the position of continuous cast equipment 7. Hot metal after refining is cast from the inlet 1 into the container such as tundish 2. After casting, the container 2, repaired or charged with scrap 3 as required, is preheated by flame, and moved to the original process.</p> |
