<p>The invention relates to an N-( beta -hydroxyethyl)-dl-2-(4'-isobutylphe nyl)propionamide of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 is an aryl or alkyl radical, R2 is a hydrogen atom, R3 is a hydrogen atom or is like R4 and R4 is a radical having a straight or branched chain containing one or more alcohol groups, where R4 can also be an aryl radical containing at least one alcohol group. This composition is particularly suitable for the control of inflammations and is suitable for topical application. It is prepared by reaction of the 2-phenylpropionic acid derivative with an oxyhalide, phosphorus halide or sulphur halide and reaction of the compound resulting therefrom with an aminoalcohol.</p> |
