PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for washing filter press capable of sufficiently washing a filter cloth, a filter plate, or surrounding facilities without corroding them.SOLUTION: A filter press is washed by washing liquid containing chelating agent or the chelating agent and suspended substance. Hydroxyethyl iminodiacetic acid or the salt thereof is suitable as the chelating agent. The washing liquid containing the suspended substance hardly passes through the filter cloth through a shortcut, therefor it is possible to sufficiently bring the washing liquid into contact with the whole filter cloth or the whole filter plate. |
