A container (10) has a relatively hinged top (11) and bottom (13) and a planar substrate (22) having upper and lower surfaces adapted to receive surgical instruments (28) and which is pivotally mounted between the top (11) and bottom (12). When the box is open, the substrate can be pivoted between the top and bottom to provide easy access to both upper and lower substrate surfaces. The instruments, e.g. blades or needles, may be retained magnetically or may be pushed into regions of a porous foam structure defining the substrate. <IMAGE> |
