Dry blended polyvinyl chloride resin compns. are prepd. as acaricide. This contains 48-66 % PVC resin of average molecular wt. of 120000 and inherent viscosity of 0.80; 18 -35 % spiro [cyclopropane-1,1' - indene -2- carboxylic acid, 3,3-dimethyl-α- cyano- m -phenoxybenzyl ester, 15- 25 % dioctyl phthalate or octyl epoxytallate as plasticiser; 0.1-0.5 % stearic acid as lubricant, and 0.5-1.5 % di- n - octyltin maleate as polymer stabilizer. The compns. have low mammalian toxicity and show long-lasting acaricidal activity.
