PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: if there are many terminals that make automatic connection in an office, a printer cannot be used by the number of terminals connecting to the printer exceeding the maximum number; in order to prevent this, if the SSID or pass phrase of an access point is changed frequently, the setting of a terminal of a user has to be changed whenever there is a change, and labor of the user increases.SOLUTION: A communication device can operate in a direct radio communication mode to communicate with an external device by direct radio communication without going through an access point. The communication device associates identification information on a user with the SSID of the user and stores them. If it identifies a user of the communication device, it obtains an SSID corresponding to the identified user from stored SSIDs, and operates in the direct radio communication mode by using the obtained SSID.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
