<p>This invention relates to a mould for use in the shaping of mouldable material and having relatively high strength and heat resistance characteristics in that the mould comprices a mould surface supported by a porous body of sintered material, the pores of the sintered body being at least partially filled out with filling materail having a melting point lower than that of the sintered body, the mould surface of the sintered body being formed into the sintered body as a cast of a removable shaping surface before the sintering of the body is effected, and the infiltrating material forms part of said mould surface as it substantially fills out the pores of the sintered body in the surface thereof formed by the shaping surface.</p> |
