PURPOSE:To correct the strain of projected pictures by dividing the vertical deflection coil of a deflection yoke into plural parts along the axial direction of the deflection yoke, and making a difference between the toroidal-winding distributions of the said vertical deflection coils. CONSTITUTION:In a projection-type TV, color pictures are visualized by projecting, for example, red, green and blue pictures regenerated by three CRTs on a screen by means of three lenses. For instance, a deflection york 6 of the CRT on the right side, which is adjacent to the vertical central line of a projection screen, is fitted with vertical deflection coils 6-1 and 6-2, which consist of cores 7-1 and 7-2, and windings 8-1 and 8-2 wound around the cores 7-1 and 7-2 into toroidal form. The coil 6-1 located on the side of the electron gun of the CRT has an asymmetrical winding distribution relative to the central line 15 of the core 7-1, with much more winding material around the left half of the core 7-1. On the other hand, the coil 6-2 located on the side of a fluorescent screen has an asymmetrical winding distribution relative to the central line 15 of the core 7-2, with much more winding material around the right half of the core 7-2. |
