Provided is a soundproof structure that is light and thin, has air permeability, is permeable to wind and heat, does not retain heat, and is suitable for devices, automobiles, and general domestic applications. The soundproof structure has at least one soundproof cell and each soundproof cell comprises: a frame having a through-hole through which sound passes; a film fixed to the frame; an opening comprising at least one hole perforated in the film; and a weight arranged upon the film. The soundproof structure has: a first masking peak frequency on the lower frequency side than a first natural oscillation frequency for the film in the soundproof cells, set on the basis of an opening pierced in the film and having maximum transmission loss; and a second masking peak frequency on the higher frequency side than the first natural oscillation frequency for the film, set on the basis of the weight and having maximum transmission loss. The soundproof structure selectively sound-proofs against sound in a fixed frequency band having the first masking peak frequency and the second masking peak frequency at the center thereof. |
