PURPOSE:To electrically perform the locking of a reel stand when a tape is loaded by a method wherein a controlling device which is used to give ON position for a single-phase switching element only of the switching elements, with which a motor coil will be switched, is turned to ON position. CONSTITUTION:The rotor position of the reel motor on the record reproducing device, wherein a magnetic tape is used, is detected by a Hall element 12, transistors Q3 and Q4 are turned to ON or OFF position by controlling transistors Q1 and Q2 with which a differential type switching circuit is constituted, and the current application to the driving coils 15A and 15B of the motor is controlled. Also a switch, to be used for earthing of one end of Hall element 12, is provided and the transistor Q4 is turned to ON position and current is applied only to the coil 15B by closing the switch 16 when the loading and the unloading of the tape is performed. Accordingly, the rotor can be electrically locked without using a mechanical locking structure, thereby enabling to simplify the constitution. |
