Eye-cosmetics such as violet mascara and eye-liner were prepd. by co-mixing ultramarine pigment and manganese violet in pH 7.0 buffer soln. such as KH2PO4-NaOH, Na2HPO4 - citric acid, and KH2PO4- Na2HPO4. The concn. and wt.% of the used buffer soln. are 0.01-0.1 M and 10-50%, resp. Thus, 1.0-6.0% non-ionic surfactant and 8.0-20.0% mixt. of manganese violet and ultramarine pigment were dispersed in phosphoric acid buffer soln., wherein 5-15% film-forming agent such as polyvinyl alcohol or polyviny1 pyrrolidine-acrylic acrylate copolymer and 0.5-6.0% hydroxypropy1 methylcellulose added and heated to 75≦̸C to give violet eye-cosmetics.
