发明名称 WIRE CUT DISCHARGE MACHINING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent sticking objects from being generated on a wire electrode by using brass coated with a low-melting point metal on its surface as the wire electrode of a wire cut discharge machining device. CONSTITUTION:In a discharge machining, an electrode component is deposited and transferred to a work object due to the explosion during discharge. In order to eliminate deposited materials on a work object in a wire cut discharge machining, it is known to be proper that brass (e.g., 65/35 brass) is used as the material for a wire electrode and the surface of the wire electrode is coated with a low-melting point metal (e.g., zinc or tin) so as to reduce the copper content on the surface of the wire electrode, according to experimental results. Therefore, the physical characteristics of the brass wire can be maintained by changing the surface condition of the wire electrode and reducing the copper content on the surface of the wire electrode.
