PURPOSE:To raise the density and definition of picture by providing a recording layer containing a water-insolubilized water-soluble high molecular substance and a water-soluble high molecular substance on a supporter. CONSTITUTION:A 10:1-1:2 mixture of a water-soluble high molecular substance (e.g., sweet potato starch, corn starch, etc.) and a water-insolubilized water- soluble high molecular substance (e.g., salts or the like of the water-soluble high molecular substances), together with 0-10pts.wt. (based on the water-soluble high molecular substance) a pigment, is coated on a supporter (e.g., paper, etc.). The preferred viscosity of the water-soluble high molecular substance used is 5-5,000 cps (as 5% aqueous solution) from the viewpoint of ink bleeding prevention and coating suitability. Also, proper coating amount is 0.5-10g/m<2> (as solid). Thus, the ink bleeding resistance, water proofness, and picture definition of the recording layer containing said both components are good. |
