PURPOSE:To enhance thermal efficiency of an engine by dewatering the alcohol to be supplied to an engine with a drying agent. CONSTITUTION:Methanol is supplied to a drying chamber 2a from a tank 1 through a line 6a with the valve condition such that valves 4a, 4k, 4d, 4j, 4h, 4f are open and ones 4b, 4c, 4e, 4g, 4i, 4l are closed, where the methanol shall get rid of its water content to be supplied further to the engine 3. To another drying chamber 2b, air is supplied from a line 6b, and exhaust gas of the engine 3 is supplied to the heating cylinder 5b of this drying chamber 2b through another line 6c, where the water content of the drying agent contained by the drying chamber 2b is evaporated by the heat of exhaust gas. Thus the drying agent is regenerated. The water evaporated in released out to the atmosphere from a line 6d together with the air. Because the exhaust gas is hindered from touching directly the drying agent, ther is no risk any more of contaminating the drying agent by exhaust gas. |
