PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can search for a character string corresponding to a single subject in a plurality of images.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, an image processing apparatus comprises: a calculation part; and a determination part. The calculation part calculates a first similarity group formed of similarity between characters constituting a first character string captured in a first image and candidate characters in a candidate character group, calculates a second similarity group formed of similarity between characters constituting a second character string captured in a second image and the candidate characters in the candidate character group, and calculates a third similarity group formed of similarity between characters constituting a third character string captured in the second image and the candidate characters in the candidate character group. The determination part compares the first similarity group with the second similarity group and the third similarity group to determine which one of the second character string and the third character string corresponds to a first subject that is the same as the first character string.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
