PURPOSE:To achieve an efficient processing of pi-characters by printing on a margin with a type for indicating pi-characters provided in a type case while attributive information of each pi-character is memorized so that a specific type can be picked up to print according to the information. CONSTITUTION:A type for indicating pi-characters is to be printed when a printing command is given to a type case B5 to demand a character not prepared therein. When pi-character printing command is given during the printing of a text, printing is done with the pi-character indication type while a character code signal corresponding to the pi-character indication character and attributive information on the pi-character (point, calligraphic style, insertion position in the text and the like) are memorized. After the printing of the text, the type case is replaced with the one for pi-characters, information thus memorized is read out to pick up a type corresponding thereto and the pi-character is printed as prepared in a sticking circle. |
