<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the paper and space for writing names, etc. and to attain the miniaturization of an automatic dial device by storing both a subscriber name and telephone number in a pair and retrieving or displaying the name which is coincident with a prescribed number of fed characters with operation of a prescribed function key. CONSTITUTION:The character keys on a keyboard 15 are pushed to store a subscriber name to an RAM1A within an RAM7. Then a key STORE on the board 5 is pushed to store the name stored in the RAM1A to an RAM2A within an RAM9. The digit keys on the board 5 are pushed to store a telephone number to an RAM2S paried with the RAM2A in the same way as the subscriber name. Then a key SEARCH is pushed after >=3 characters are supplied from the board 5 to store the upper 3 characters stored in the RAM1A to a retrieving means 13. An address desingnating means 11 designates successively all addresses of the RAM2A and compare them with the 3 character stored in the means 13. Then a coincident name, if any, is transferred to the RAM1A and then displayed to a display device 4.</p> |
