PURPOSE:To produce alkaloids selected from ergokryptinine, ergokryptine, agroclavine, elymoclavine, and chanoclavine, by using the cultured medium of microorganisms belonging to Hypomyces genus. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Hypomyces genus, preferably Hypomyces aurantis (FERM-P No. IFO 7773) is cultured in a medium containing a carbon source (saccharides, sugar alcohols, or organic acids), a nitrogen source (amino acids, organic acid ammonium salts), inorganic salts (phosphates) and minor nutrients to produce one or more alkaloids selected from ergokryptinine, ergokryptine, agroclavine, elymoclavine and chanoclavine. |
