PURPOSE:To perform welding simultaneously with forming and to simplify its working process by inserting a metallic hollow body into a die, injecting a molten metal to be coated into the metallic hollow body and pressurizing. CONSTITUTION:A metallic hollow body 1 serving as a material to be worked is inserted into a die 3. A molten metal to be coated is injected in the metallic hollow body 1 and pressurized when it is in a semimolten state. This pressurizing can be made by a mechanical pressure using a pressurizing rod, etc. or by a gas pressure such as compressed gas etc. The hollow body 1 is bulged out along the die 3 by this internal pressure and formed. At this time, an activated newly formed face generated at the inside of the hollow body 1 does not come into contact with air but comes directly into contact with the molten metal. At the same time, it is brought into close contact by pressure and deposition is accelerated. Accordingly, welding can be effected without requiring any pretreatment to remove an oxide film on the surface as was formely the case. |
