PURPOSE:To provide an encapsulated toner capable of easily preventing dispersion of a core substance and elution of the core substance into an org. soln. in an encapsulation step by forming the first outer shell by nonelectroplating and the second outer shell. CONSTITUTION:An encapsulated toner is used for a developer, and the toner comprises the first outer shell for uniformly coating all the core substance and further, the second outer shell for coating the outside of the first shell. The encapsulated toner is prepared by precipitating a substance different from the second shell, for the first shell by nonelectroplating in order to prevent dissolution of the core substance during the precipitation of the second shell. A metal, such as Ni, Co, Ag, Zn, or Pd are suitable for the nonelectroplated layer of the first shell, and as this plating method, the one utilizing the galvanic potential difference between different metals, and one utilizing chemical reducing agent are usable. |
