<p>PURPOSE:To produce a curable resin capable of providing a uniform, transparent, heat-resistant cured product, by reacting a polycyanate with a specified functional component under a specified condition. CONSTITUTION:A curable resin is formed by reacting (A) a polycyanate of the formula [wherein R is an aromatic group and m is 2-5, provided that the cyanato groups are bonded to the aromatic ring of the aromatic group], e.g., 1,3-dicyanatobenzene, or a prepolymer thereof (number-average MW of about 300-6,000) with (B) a compound having a hydroxyl group and a radical-polymerizable unsaturated bond (e.g., hydroxyethyl acrylate) at 80-140 deg.C and a cyanato group to hydroxyl group ratio of 1/(0.1-2) in the presence of about 0.01-0.1wt%, based on the total amount, radical-polymerization inhibitor (e.g., hydroquinone).</p> |
