PURPOSE:To manage with one monitor by providing an output mode changeover switch which switches the output mode of an editing machine alternately to the play mode, where signals reproduced by the editing machine are outputted to the monitor, and an EE mode where signals reproduced by a reproducing machine and supplied to the editing machine are outputted to the monitor. CONSTITUTION:In case of automatic editing, an editing control part is operated. The editing mode of assembly or insert is selected. Thereafter, a changeover switch 17 is depressed to switch the output mode of an editing machine 5 to the EE mode, and a reproducing machine 3 is operated to project videos of an already recorded cassette tape onto a monitor receiver 12, and a required cassette is selected, and its editing start point (or an editing start point and an editing end point) is registered. Next, the changeover switch 17 is depressed to switch the output mode of the editing machine 5 to the play mode. Thus, the changeover switch 17 provided on an automatic editing controller 1 is operated to project videos reproduced by the reproducing machine 3 and the editing machine 5 alternately to the single monitor receiver 12. |
