PURPOSE:To monitor and detect invariably, speedily, and accurately the abnormality of an electric equipment by detecting the conduction defect of a sensing element made of filament type metal which is heated at constant temperature owing to SF6 decomposed gas. CONSTITUTION:A metallic sealed container 1 contains SF6 gas 2 and a high voltage conductor 3, and a detection part 4 is arranged at the recessed part 1a of the container 1. The detection part 4 consists of the sensing element 41 which utilizes the filament type metal, temperature detecting element 42, etc. When the SF6 gas is decomposed by the partial discharging and partial heating of the conductor 3, active decomposed gas reacts with the metal of the element 4 to produce a compound and a conduction defect state is entered as the reaction advances. Thus, the abnormality of the electric equipment is always monitored and detected speedily and accurately.
