PURPOSE:To perform noble metal plating at a low cost without plating a costly noble metal on an unnecessary inside circumferential surface by supporting a watch case by specific jigs, injecting a mask material to the inside circumferen tial surface of the case, drying the same, removing the jigs and plating the noble metal on the case. CONSTITUTION:Underlying plating of Ni, etc. is formed on a watch case 1 and thereafter the case 1 is held by fitting a jig 2 having the size to contact with a glass bezel and glass supporting surface and a jig 3 having the size to contact with the fitting part of a rear cover to the case 1 from above and below. The jigs 2, 3 made of a resin are used so as to be fitted tightly by pressing. A mask material is filled into the case through an injecting pipe 4 and discharge pipe 5 for the mask material running the center of the jigs 2, 3 and the case is rotated around the pipes 4, 5 to stick the mask material to the inside of the case by the centrifugal force. The jigs 2, 3 are removed and a noble metal is plated on the case 1 after the mask material is dried. The noble metal plating is executed at a low cost without the wasteful consumption of the noble metal plating liquid owing to intrusion of said liquid to the unnecessary inside circumferential surface of the case.
