[Class 146 (i)] In a vertical visible filing-system in which a series of separator cards are hinged at their bottom edge to the panel, and are adapted to form a number of vertical stepped pockets for the matter to be filed, means hinged or adapted to be hinged to the panel is provided to prevent sagging forward of the cards, and to limit the forward angular movement of the cards during inspection of the filed matter. A wire bail g, Fig. 2, is provided with hooked ends h to be engaged in the exposed top corners of the wire strengthening frame f of the panel. The bail extends to the centre of the lowermost card b. Alternatively, the side links g<1>, Fig. 3, of the bail may be shorter and the hooks h engaged imder the side flanges e of the panel, near the centre, cut-outs l to accommodate the hooks being provided in the spacing or filling cards k. A plate j to give a larger bearing surface may be pivoted to the bail by means of plates g<2>. In a further modification, a plate m. Fig. 8, is hinged to the bottom of the panel by means of a wire loop o in such a way that its outward movement is limited by the engagement of a bent-in portion n of the plate with the loop o. A bail g with a plate j may also be provided, the plate being adapted to slide in side flanges p of the plate m. |
