PURPOSE:To form a cylinder in a small size and prevent large local stress from acting, by providing a fixed piston, fixed to a frame, to be relatively and slidably arranged for a plate in the plural cylinders provided in the clamp plate. CONSTITUTION:A pallet 13, being clamped to a frame by one main cylinder 7 and four subcylinders 9 arranged in the periphery, displays strong clamping force as compared with the clamping force by a single cylinder. While the clamping force, transmitted by the cylinders 7, 9 to a clamping plate 6, effectively acts on a block 12 because the cylinder 7, 9 is arranged in such a manner that it holds the seated block 12. Accordingly, a clamping mechanism, in which each cylinder can be formed in a small size, enables a contribution to be made for forming a table in a small size.
