PURPOSE:To provide an external drug for skin, containing allantoin, its derivative and a hydroquinone glycoside, exhibiting synergistic action of the components to wound, effective to promote the heal of the wound remarkably, and usable suitably to chaps, roughness, etc., of the skin. CONSTITUTION:The objective external drug for skin can be produced by compounding allantoin and/or its derivative (e.g. dihydroxy-aluminum allantoinate) and a hydroquinone glycoside of formula (R is pentose residue, hexose residue, amino sugar residue, etc.). The compound of formula is preferably hydroquinone beta-D-glycose (general name: arbutin) from the viewpoint of the skin-beautifying effect, availability, and safety, etc. The amounts of allantoin and the compound of formula in the agent are preferably 0.1-3.0wt% and 6-20wt%, respectively. The agent has excellent effect to promote the heal of wound and is usable suitably to the skin after shaving or shampooing, to the scalp damaged with nail, or to the cracked, chapped, or roughened skin, etc. |
