PURPOSE:To easily correct color reproduction in accordance with the reproducing device by a simple constitution by rotating a coordinate axes of respective chrominance signals among input video signals by a linear expression including a trigonometric function and providing a coordinate axis converting means for level converting said signals. CONSTITUTION:The coordinate axes of the respective chrominance signals 19-21 in the input video signals are rotated by a linear expression including the trigonometric function and converted in level to conform with the color reproducibility of the reproducing device. For example, the R signal 19, the G signal 20 and the B signal 21 are converted by a matrix circuit 22 into a luminance signal Y23, a B-Y signal 24 and an R-Y signal 25. The B-Y signal 24 is introduced into L2-times amplifier 26, L4-times amplifier 27 and an L0-times amplifier while the R-Y signal 25 is introduced into an L3-times amplifier 27, an L5-times amplifier 29 and an L1-times amplifier 31. The outputs of the amplifiers 26-31 are added to the bright-luminance signal Y23 at adders 32, 33, 34 to produce the R signal 16, the G signal 17 and the B signal 18 corrected for color reproduction.
