PURPOSE:To prevent input data from being erased owing to misoperation by selecting a typamatic function or an nontypamatic function for a specific keys among input keys upon occasion by setting the specification of whether the typamatic function is effective or not in a specific bit of a register circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a bit 0 of the register circuit 5 is set to '1' by a program, the output of an AND gate circuit G4 becomes '1' to allow a timer circuit 4 to perform counting operation, and typamatic operation is started. When the bit 0 of the register circuit 5 is set to '0' by the program, on the other hand, the output of the AND gate circuit G4 is invariably '0', so the timer circuit 4 does not perform the counting operation. Therefore, only one pulse of a signal CSTB generated by an OR gate circuit G1 and an AND gate circuit G2 is sent out with a signal of KSTB of depression to stop the typamatic function and perform the nontypamatic operation instead.
