PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for peeling coconut shell preventing the lateral deviation of the shell and assuring the straight vertical drop of the shell, by placing a guiding member under the inside of an edge, thereby guiding a coconut vertically downward. CONSTITUTION:A nearly triangular guiding plate 30 is attached to the center of the convex side of a holding plate 15 of the edge 12A, and a side 30a of the guiding plate is aligned almost linearly to the side 13a. The coconut A falling on the edge 12A from above is incised with the cutting edge 14. The husk 2 is peeled from the shell 1 by the holding plate 15, and the shell 1 free of the husk 2 is guided by the guiding plate 30 and dropped accurately into the shell chute placed just below the edge 12A.
