PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of recording paper, by allowing the paper presser for contacting recording paper with an opposed electrode under pressure to position in the advance phase side in the feed direction of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:A paper presser 13, which was formed into an L-shape bent configuration, is attached to a carrier 8 so that the fixing surface 11 thereof is fixed to the carrier 8 and the press surface 12 thereof is almost vertically provided and the edge part 24 of the paper presser 13 is positioned in the advance phase side of recording paper 15. The reciprocal movement of the carrier 8 is made synchronous to the feeding of the recording paper 15 and high voltage is applied between a recording electrode 23 and an opposed electrode 14 by the signal from a printing control circuit 28 and ink 19 is scattered toward the recording paper 15 to form a dot. A character or drawing is formed by the combination of dots but, because the press surface 12 of the paper presser 13 presses the recording paper 15, the levitation of the recording paper 15 from the opposed electrode 14 is prevented and the recording paper 15 is certainly closely contacted with the opposed electrode 14 to keep the surface potential thereof constant. Further, because the press surface 12 of the paper presser 13 is not contacted with the part having the ink 19 adhered thereto, the contamination of the recording paper 15 is not generated. |
