PURPOSE:To enable easy bidirectional signal transmission by selecting one of two sets of light emitting element and photodetecting pairs which are provided in connectors and face the directions opposite from each other by an external control signal. CONSTITUTION:The 1st light emitting element 3A and the 2nd photodetector 4B are provided to one connector body 13 making a pair and the 1st photodetecting element 3B and 2nd light emitting element 4A are provided to the other connector body 14. Either the pair of the 1st element 3A and the 1st photodetector 3B or the pair of the 2nd element 4B and the 2nd photodetector 4A is selected by the control signal from the outside through terminals 25, 26. As a result, the transmission direction of the signal is thus made selectable and therefore the bidirectional signal transmission is easily made possible. |
