PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating a surface material and a backing material for recycling a construction material for constituting a partition panel by using this partition panel by sticking the surface material composed of a steel plate to the backing material such as a gypsum board as an object. SOLUTION: The edges 4, 5 and 6 for surrounding the periphery of the gypsum board 1 are cut to be put in a state of only a surface plate 3 adhered to the gypsum board 1, and a cutter 8 is pushed and moved in between the gypsum board 1 and the surface plate 3 to tear off the surface plate 3.
