In the transport system intended in particular for delivering beverages which are contained in barrels or in bottles which, for their part, are assembled in cardboard boxes, crates or the like to form packaged units, a lifting device is provided as unloading and loading apparatus, having a load pick-up means for grasping the packaged goods, which can be moved both over the entire loading area of the payload space and into a position outside the payload space, and, moreover, in a position outside the loading area can be moved vertically between the latter and the carriageway.
