PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of a conventional alternator, by coupling a motor-driven generator with the turbine shaft of a turbocharger, and by controlling the flow rate of fuel in accordance with the result of detection of the generating power of the generator so that a battery is effectively charged. CONSTITUTION:A ring-like magnet rotor 10 is disposed in the intermediate section of a shaft 6 directly connecting a turbine impeller 5 in a turbocharger 1 with a compressor impeller 6, and a stator core 11 wound thereon with a stator coil 12 is arranged along the outer periphery of the ring-like magnet rotor 10 in order to constitute a motor-driven generator MG. This generator MG is fed with power from a battery 20 through an invertor 19 so that it serves as a motor, but when it operates serving as a generator, its generated power is charged in the battery 20 through a PWM controller 21 and a regulator 22. Further, during operation of the generator, a controller 14 controls a flow control unit 16 in accordance with the output of a power sensor 23 for detecting the generated power, and therefore, the supply amount of fuel for the engine is increased and compensated. |
