PURPOSE:TO provide the title recording material forming a sharp red color and excellent not only in heat sensitivity but also in the stability of a color forming part and a color non-forming part under a high temp. and high humidity environment, in a thermal recording material containing a leuco dye and a developer as main components, by respectively using specific compounds as the leuco dye and the developer. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by formula I (wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R2 is a chlorine atom or a methyl group) is used as a leuco dye and a compound represented by formula II and /or III (wherein n is an integer of 1 to 2) is used as a developer. When the compound represented by the formula II is used as the developer, not only preservability under a high temp. and high humidity environment but also heat sensitivity are markedly excellent and, when the compund represented by the formula III is used, preservability under a high temp. and high humidity enbironment is markedly excellent. |
