PURPOSE:To obtain images having excellent luster properties and preservability, by providing on a base an image-receiving layer comprising a particulate thermoplastic compound and a color developer present in spaces between the particulates of the compound. CONSTITUTION:An image-receiving material comprises on a base 2 an image- receiving layer 1, in which a particulate thermoplstic compound 3 is present in an aggregated state and a binder 4 containing a color developer is present between the particulates of the compound 3. An image-forming material which comprises a base 5 and a layer 6 comprising a color former has imagewise a part at which the color former can be transferred. The image-forming material and the image-receiving material are brought into close contact with each other, and a pressure is applied thereto, whereby the color former at the part 7 is transferred to a part 8 of the image-receiving layer 7, where the color developer and the color former make contact with each other to form a color. After an image is formed, the image-receiving material is heated, whereby the particulates of the thermoplastic compound are melted, and are fused together, thereby giving a transparent and lustrous film having a part 9 color-developed imagewise. |
