SANITARY DEVICE FOR CATS AND OTHER SMALL PET ANIMALS

A sanitary device for cats and other small pet animals, intended to offer possibility of performing toilet requirements indoors. A reticulated or perforated central member (2), having an external configuration substantially corresponding to the configuration of a toilet hole in a toilet bowl (1), and attached to one or a number of supporting members (3, 3'), is arranged with the supporting members in an abutting position adjacent to the plane of a toilet bowl (1) from which the toilet hole extends downwardly. Hereby the reticulated or perforated member (2) is maintained in a substantially horizontal position of extension adjacent to the upper portion of the toilet hole with surrounding external edge portion in an adjacent or abutting position in relation to the internal surface of the toilet hole. When the animal has relieved itself on the reticulated or perforated member (2), urine and excrements can be removed by a conventional flushing operation, possibly by first performing a light shaking operation.
