The invention relates to an optimised method for the enhanced recovery of hydrocarbons contained in a geological reservoir, wherein: a sweeping fluid comprising at least one polymer is injected into the reservoir so as to move said hydrocarbons towards at least one producing well; a produced effluent comprising the hydrocarbons is collected by the producing well; and at least one precipitation agent comprising tetravalent cations is injected at least into the aqueous fluid proceeding from the effluent.
