PURPOSE:To make a fusing layer not to stick to a hot plate as a heat press and also complete edge processing simultaneously in a process where a surface cloth and an insulating mat are stuck together by a method wherein the surface cloth having previously the fusing layer fused thermally at the back of the cloth is heated and pressurized from its surface by the hot plate. CONSTITUTION:At the back of a surface cloth 21 a fusing layer 22 fused thermally is placed as one body with the cloth and a heating wire 24 of which outer surface is processed with a covering 23 fused thermally and a temp. detecting wire 26 of which outer surface is processed with a covering 25 fused thermally are hooked over slide pins 28 projected from the upper surface of the base plate 27 of a heat press and wired on the plate 27 and then the cloth 21 with its rear below is put on the plate 27 and heated and pressurized from its surface for a fixed time by the hot plate as the heat press to form a surface cloth unit 29. As the layer 22 is heat-pressed through the cloth 21,the fusing layer does not stick to the hot plate at all. Finally, when the insulating mat 30 is put on the cloth and heated and pressurized by the hot plate as the heat press, a space heating unit 31 where the circumferential edge part of the mat 30 is neatly processed is formed.
