PURPOSE:To prevent the damage and fracture of a sensitive synthetic resin layer on a plate material by providing a plate material storage vessel made of a sheet shaped member having an approximately V-or U-shaped profile, an oscillation means and a repulsion prevention means respectively under a transport passage enabling the change of a transfer direction in the course of a transfer process. CONSTITUTION:A plate material storage vessel 5 so constituted with a sheet-shaped member as to form the profile thereof into an approximately V- or U-shape, is provided under a transfer passage capable of being directed down on the way in such a way that the side of the vessel 5 oscillates when a plate material delivered to said vessel 5 has collided therewith. Also, the material of the vessel 5 comprises a sheet member of synthetic resin having flexibility and elasticity such as polyamide, so that a stored plate material will not be repulsive on the bottom of the vessel 5. According to the aforesaid constitution, when a plate material selected and discharged has collided with the side of the vessel 5, this side oscillates and absorbs a shock by the elasticity and the oscillation of the bottom of the vessel 5, thereby preventing the fracture and damage of the sensitive resin on the plate material.
