PURPOSE:To improve the extent of rectilinear stability at the time of driving at high speed, by limiting differential motion according to the size of driving torque when a car speed is smaller than the specified value and securing accelerability at time of starting, while giving the specified differential limiting variable when the car speed becomes more than the specified value. CONSTITUTION:A differential limiting device 10 is one that controls differential motion of a differential gear having a differential limiting mechanism 12, and it is constituted of a device 14 detecting a car speed, a device 16 detecting driving torque a controller 18 and an operating device 20. And, this operating device 20 is, for example, constituted of a liquid pump 22, an unload relief valve 24, an accumulator 26, a current control pressure reducing valve 28 and a check valve 30. And, when the car speed is, for example, smaller than the specified value, the operating device 20 is controlled by the controller 18 to limit the differential motion according to size of the driving torque. With this constitution, even if the car speed is little as at time of starting, the differential limited variable is made larger when the driving torque is large, thus accelerability is secured.
