PURPOSE:To automatically inspect an output device by generating an expected value of a result of an output which is outputted by the output device in a host CPU, and comparing a result of an output from an actual output device, with this expected value. CONSTITUTION:A host CPU 10 sends out a printing data to a print controller CE 108, and simultaneously, and brings this data to a dot development in the CPU 101. This data is written in a dot development memory MFDM 103. On the other hand, when the printing data is received from the CPU 101, the CE 108 develops this data, and stores it in a printer use dot development memory PFDM 109 of the inside. Subsequently, the contents of the PFDM 109 are transferred successively to the CPU 101. A comparing function part 104 compares and checks the contents of the MFDF 103 and the PFDM 109. By a result of this comparison, a decision of the normality of the contents of the PFDM 109 is executed. In such a way, the inspection can be executed automatically completely. |
