The feed control device for pile transportation is used for controlling the transporting speed of sheet piles, fanned out in an imbricated formation, onto round pile deliverers. By means of the device according to the invention, the transporting feed is regulated with adaptation to a greater sheet advance within the sheet pile. For this purpose, the position of the sheet edge of the uppermost sheet (1) is scanned by a feeler lever (3), the signal is transmitted, amplified and stored. Controlled by the machine cycle, it acts via an actuator (20) on the pile transporting motor (21), as a result of which the speed is fixed at which the following sheet is transported to a sheet withdrawal device (2). <IMAGE>
