PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a sharp color image of high print quality by minimizing color slippage of an output image in a sub-scanning direction. SOLUTION: When a phase-difference detection circuit 24 detects a phase difference between a BD signal from a BD detector 11 and a TOP signal from a TOP detector 5, control is exerted based on a CNTOUT signal from the phase-difference detecting circuit 24 so as to switch back and forth between a first drum-motor-clock-generating circuit 21 and second drum-motor-clock- generating circuit 22 of different cycles, as the source of a signal which is applied to a drum motor 103. |
