The grip has two jaws, one or both of them sliding. One jaw has a sliding or pivoting setting member (14), which in one position allows the jaws to close to a greater and in the other to a lesser degree. For actuation purposes parts of the member protrude beyond the jaw on the outside. The jaws can be contained in mountings (5,6), the fixed one (15,16) being supported, dependent on the member position, on it at different distances from the moving one (8,9). USE - On a transport chain for stretch-wrapping sheet used to pack food.
