The invention relates to a profiled border with a tread covering and an end facing for encasing stair steps needing repair. The profiled border has an essentially rectangular angular profile (4, 6), one profile leg (4) of which is designed for bearing and fastening on the tread (5.1) of the step (5) and the second profile leg (6) of which is designed for bearing and fastening on the step end face (5.2). Furthermore, there is a connecting profile (9) which extends along the profile edge (8) connecting the two profile legs (4, 6) to one another and is arranged on the side facing away from the stair step (5) and which possesses, on its two longitudinal edges, projections (10, 11) which project essentially in the direction of the two profile legs (4, 6) and which surround the tread covering (2) and the end facing (3) at their edges. <IMAGE> |
